ok . I've been all set to catch some meteors for the past few weeks.
The first night one zipped right over the moment I stepped outside.
However, every night since, clouds have moved in,
and it's done for the evening.
Surely, I thought, that first glimpse was going to be
a good sign of things positive. ... nope...
Dawn has broken with fog for at least the last ten days.
Again, tonight, all set for the Perseid peek...
and what? ... we're expecting bad weather.
I sincerely hope everyone else has better luck.
Planets are all I've been able to glimpse for a while.

Lydia,
I saw several meteors during the pre-peak nights. We, too, had some bad weather hit during the peak nights, but the nights before were really nice.

We have had a bit of much needed rain lately, and every morning finds us fogged in. I look forward to October when the nights are dark and beautiful.
Meanwhile, not much observing going on in my area, sorry to say.
Wishing you dark and starry nights.
