Weather permiting, of course, U.S. observers may spot an opposing crescent the morning of Sunday, May 4th. ( tomorrow!)
Observe 8 degrees toward the ENE 15 minutes before sunrise.
Catch Venus 6.5 degrees below right of the moon.
Then about 15 minutes after sunset on Monday evening, the 13 hour young moon will be only 8.2 degrees from the sun at 4 degrees WNW.
