Three New Lakes Discovered on Titan

The ever impresive Cassini Spacecraft has given us views of three newly discovered hydrocarbon lakes and seas on the north pole of Titan. There is also a possibility of lakes on Titan's south pole. Fourteen percent of the mapped north polar region has liquid methane and ethane lakes.
This is not really a surprize to scientists since the Titan gaseous rains commonly fill the region and create meadering rivers and channels on the Titan lunar surface.
Cassini will soon be sending us images of the southern polar surface.
