STS-120- Discovery Launch is October 23

STS-120, Discovery astronauts: Mission Specialists Scott Parazynski , Stephanie Wilson, Commander Pam Melroy, Pilot George Zamka, Mission Specialists Paolo Nespoli, Doug Wheelock and Dan Tani are wrapping up preparations for their target launch on October 23.

The Flight Readiness Review is scheduled for Oct. 16, and one of the topics to be discussed will be the reinforced carbon carbon, or RCC, on Discovery’s wing leading edge panels. Thermal imagery is used for panel inspection to identify internal defects that may lead to coating loss.

Discovery will deliver the Italian-built pressurized component (named "Harmony" by U.S. students in a nationwide contest).
This module is the connection between the U.S. Destiny lab, the European Space Agency's Columbus module and the Japanese Kibo module.
which will be ferried to the Space Station by the next two space shuttle flights.
