Does Mira Have a Tail?

Mira is indeed wonderful and proving herself to be more so with the discovery of a streaming comet-like tail nearly 13 light years long, conprised of tossed off star material.

Astronomers will study this newly discovered phenomena to learn more about Mira's impending death and graduation from a puffed up pulsating red giant into a dying burned out core of a white dwarf.
