Why do some people say the Big Bang never happened? I believe the Big Bang is for real. Astronomy article> http://jimcolyer.com/papers/entry?id=2

First time I have seen the term "blanes" although I know the idea of many Big Bangs and an oscillating universe.

I have kind of a wierd question...
I am trying to find out the approx. size of the universe during a very small window of time after the big bang. The problem is that I must go about this a bit backwards. I want to know approx. (or theoretically) times when the diameter was just about 1 mm to about 18 inches... and also the approx. rate of expansion for the time inbetween those 2 diameters.
Also, if that works out I would be looking for the times and corresponding diameters from about 1 mm dia. to 10m diameter.
I've been looking in books and online, but have only found diameters out of my range during crucial points of the big bang. If anyone has any suggestions for people to contact or places to look please let me know.
Thanks so much!
-Lindsay
