Atlantis Lands Safely in California

It looks like the thermal cloth was repaired today by spaced walking Astronauts James Reilly and Danny Olivas.
Olivas had only one day to prepare for the walk,
due to the importance of this pressing issue.
There are still problems with the computers, however.
Russian Cosmonauts worked all night without success and were finally ordered to get some sleep after many hours on the job.
It is thought that a bad connection between the Russian side and a pair of new solar arrays might be the problem caused by a magnetic field around the power line. If such is the case, power from other solar arrays may be redirected to bring Atlantis's computers back online.
Three crew members may be obligated to return to earth early if problems continue and unnecessary equipment has been turned off to save energy.
The mission has been extended to thirteen days to complete necessary repairs.

On a lighter note:
Ever heard of a Baby Monitor picking up Space Video?
Here's an interesting story. One channel of a mother's baby monitor is relaying black and white video from inside Atlantis while the other channel monitors the baby. It seems the monitor is picking up signals from N.A.S.A. TV.
Since baby monitors operate off the same signal as Amateur Radio, and the Illinois Chapter of Amateur Radio broadcasts video from N.A.S.A. T.V., it is thought that the signals are coming from there.
Interesting, don't you think?

The computers are back on line thanks to hard working Russian Cosmonauts.
Had additional spare parts been necessary for repairs,
they would have been delivered by Russia's cargo vessel Progress.

N.A.S.A. is hoping today's weather does not impede Atlantis's return today.
Touch down is expected at 1355 EDT at Kennedy in Florida.
If necessary, backup landing sites would be California on Friday
or New Mexico on Saturday.
Some of the work Atlantis accomplished was the installation of a 17 ton metal truss and solar panels which will be used to generate additional electricity.
