All Eyes on Vesta

Vesta is at its brightest in 18 years and should be visible at about magnitude 5.4 through early June, making it a naked eye object.
Look for Vesta 10 degrees northwest of Jupiter
and south of M107, in Ophiuchus.
Vesta will pass 1.14 AU from us this year.
It is the only asteroid bright enough to be visible to the naked eye.
