NGC 6240- (When Worlds Collide)
NGC 6240, a butterfly shaped, starburst galaxy in Ophiuchus
has two black holes merging from the collision of two smaller galaxies.

Keck II in Hawaii has " resolved the formation of young star clusters and identified twin nuclei associated with the two supermassive black holes".
This merger may take up to 100 million years to complete.
