What are the credentials of the article authors?

Hi,

I am a student and an amateur astronomer looking for information for a class I am taking. I want to quote from your articles but I need authorative articles, so I need to know the credentials of the authors before I can use them.

Are the articles written by amateur astronomers or by professionals astronomers?

Thank you for all your help and for the wonderful articles that you have on this site.

Hello Diana,

Our authors have many different levels of expertise in science/astronomy and indeed journalism/writing.

I can tell you that each article is thoroughly fact checked and researched before publication and every effort is made to make sure that any statements of the author's opinion as opposed to accepted fact are clearly stated so.

I do realise that astronomy is a rapidly changing field and some articles need to be re-polished. e.g: how many moons does Saturn now have? Wink

Thanks for your interest.
