Is Pluto's Atmosphere Expanding?

Since its demotion by the IAU earlier this year, Pluto has frequently been in the news.

Level of interest in Pluto
I wonder though, as the years go by, whether the amount of scientific research into Pluto will decrease. Most of the projects whose results are being reported now were commissioned anything up to ten years ago.

Will there be less projects commissioned from now on (after the demotion to dwarf planet) as Pluto might be seen as less prestigious or glamorous to study than a full planet?
