Hi Nanbe1st,
First off, welcome to Astronomy Today, we hope you enjoy the site.
Secondly, we're trying to encourage more participation on these forums so if there's anything you'd like to talk about or any questions about astronomy you have just start a new topic and we'll be happy to join in!
(That goes for everyone out there!)
Despite the name of the site (astronomy today) there are also plenty of great articles on the site in our cosmology section and space exploration section so be sure to check them out too.

 here goes my deficiency in my knowledge of the workings of our universe! but how come our universe is so quiet?????? if there are soooo many stars in the milkyway and so many milkyways in the universe why aren't we seeing a fireworks display? i know we are looking at the past so a younger universe should be more active. and, some people believe that we have had "martians" visit earth.........but sometimes i wonder if we are not the first aliens in the universe! :?: :?: i am new at this so bear with me.
