Starting Astronomy and Astrophysics

Hi all,

I'd like to learn more about astronomy and astrophysics. I'd like some recommendations of textbooks about astronomy and astrophysics fundamentals with exercises if possible for self study. I'd like it to start soft and then advance for more harder stuff. I don't know anything about astronomy or astrophysics. The closer I got was to Tiplers Physics for Scientists and Engineers and Feynmans Lectures on Physics.

After reading a good book I'll ask you where I can get a telescope... Wink

Cheers,
