Venetia Burney Phair - The Girl Who Named Pluto

Last Thursday, 19 January, 2006, New Horizons, the fasted moving man-made object in history, was launched destination Pluto, to reach the planet in nine years.

Below is a link to an interview with Venetia Burney Phair, who was merely eleven years old at the time she suggested the name for the newly discovered planet. The interviewer is Edward Goldstein from N.A.S.A. Public Affairs.
