Hello,
As a new member if anyone would be kind enough to post any replies on my theory or if any astronomers who are good at maths could check out the gravitational pull the clouds would have in my theory I would be greatful.
I am only an amateur astronomer but the theory I came up with is different to others I have seen. It fits in with the Big Bang theory and the Steady State theory. It came to me over thirty years ago, and at the time I sent it off to Jodrell Bank who replied saying it could not be proved or disproved. Due to new discoveries coming to light that fit in with my theory like the latest picture taken by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope of stars and galaxies in the constellation Draco. It shows a background light that I feel could be a glimse of the clouds in my theory. It is beyond me to do the mathematics for the gravitational pull of the clouds that would help speed up the expansion of our Universe.
I have added the theory to my web site, details below.
In brief my theory is this. Lets assume the cosmos is endless and this vastness is made up of gaseous material. A section of this gaseous material could condense and form a star. A larger mass still, may form an island of galaxies, still surrounded by the endless clouds of gaseous material.
A Cosmic super cloud of greater mass would condense with a massive central explosion at the moment of its birth leaving a background radiation that could be detected later, that fits in just as good as the Big Bang theory.
After its expansion it would form a supergalaxy. A galaxy made up of millions of galaxies.
Our Universe could be one of many supergalaxies.

Depends on how one defines a galaxy.
