large very bright fireball observed during 2009 leonids
While observing the leonids meteor shower around midnight (00:10 hrs )Nov. 18, my wife and I observed an extremely bright and large fireball low in the western sky. It suddenly appeared and then slowly fell behind the horizon. It lit up the entire sky and the entire region of land around us. We are in western Colorado. Has anyone heard any news regarding this? I'm sure it was observeable by most of western Colorado and Eastern Utah. Thanks in advance for any information!
