reaccuring big bang

Hi my name is Danny Williams and I have a question. Is it possible for the universe to always have existed, and that the big bang has reoccurred many times. Rubber band theory says the big bang expanded the universe with a great deal of force, and that force will dissipate. That theory says the universe will collapse. If the universe collapses all the force in the universe will collide. My question is can these forces then cause another big bang. Is it possible that this has happened and will continue to happen.

If I am not mistaken, Stephen Hawking already proved that recurring big bangs won't happen.
