Mars Enters the Beehive (M44)

Posted by Lydia on May 17th, 2008

Our Favorite Red Planet will pass slightly north of and close to 5th magnitude Eta Cancri around 0:00 -1:30 UT on May 19, 2008.

On May 22, astronomers will be tracking Mars as it travels less than one degree south of 6 magnitude 39 Cancri … Shortly later, you will want to be present to view Mars travel between 39 Cancri and its 6 magnitude companion, 40 Cancri.

Continue to observe Mars through the end of the month for a much gratifying experience.
