A Bird? A Plane? A UFO?

Posted by Lydia on June 6th, 2008

Here’s something interesting that just came across my search window: http://www.aurora.aero

On April 23 this year, DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) revealed a program called VULTURE aimed at developing unmanned aircraft that have the ability to stay aloft for at least five years. Three of the items showcased at the press conference were

ACCA (Advanced Composite Cargo Aircraft) which exemplifies advances of future cargo aircraft, Sikorsky CH-53K (heavy lift program), designed from titanium and aluminium; and the Global Hawk (High Altitude Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial Reconnaissance System). Could the prototypes of these unmanned systems be the UFOs that the general public has pinpointed and photographed in American skies lately?
